Summer edition now available

Along with our regular features, the Summer Edition of birthplace looks at
Sex and intimacy

On average, the sex life of new parents drops between 30 and 40 percent in the first year of their baby’s life.

We look at issues surrounding sex and intimacy after child birth and in particular, how do couples address the issue of sex when resources of time, will, bed-space and enthusiasm may be lacking, either partner can be struggling with the life changes they are going through, the hormones of breastfeeding are adding to the mix, playing havoc with a woman’s libido and her sexual responses, and understanding and patience are in short supply?

It is certainly one entertaining read!
